Haruka Karibu Reveal
In order to announce Haruka Karibu as VShojo's newest member, I was contacted by co-founder Mowtendoo to create a short video which both celebrated, and clearly stated her partnership. This video was completed alongside my talented friend Noah, who created the 2D character animation.

As I had not yet worked on a project compositing 2D animation into a 3D environment, I collected precedence and took notes on how others made this mixture work. This also allowed me to begin planning what kind of visual style the video would aim for.

Soon afterward, I put together a loose storyboard to discuss with the character animator. This storyboard was iterated upon together, and its final version served as both a reference for shot composition and look development while creating the 3D scenes.

Working closely with the character animator, the final compositing of the 2D animation overtop of the 3D environment was shaped to resemble the vision of the storyboard well.

The video seemed to perform its job well, surprising many fans with a flashy announcement, and generating a largely positive reception.
